Examples about building Example Code, community updates, and taking photos for the yearbook.
This week on Step Into Vision
We have new examples in Spatial SwiftUI and RealityKit Basics. We also updated and automated some tasks in our Example Code project.
Spatial SwiftUI: Preferred Surroundings Effect. – We can use this SwiftUI modifier to adjust the lighting and tint color for the passthrough feed.
Spatial SwiftUI: onGeometryChange3D. – We can use this modifier to access data from GeometryProxy3D without using GeometryReader3D.
RealityKit Basics: using realityKitScene Environment Variable. – We can access the RealityKit Scene of the nearest RealityView.
Lab 097 – Vector Addition. – A guest lab from Michael Temper to showcase vector addition.
Scripting a process for the Example Code Xcode Project. – An update to the Example Code workspace what we use on Step Into Vision.

Shared Visions
We had the first of two Story Workshops for the Shared Visions Project. If you didn’t get to attend, make sure to check the meetings channel in the Discord. We shared a link to the recording and some notes. The next workshop will be on Dec 18.
Story Workshop 02 – Thursday 18th Dec – 19:00 GMT
Los Angeles: 11:00 am
New York City: 2:00 pm
Paris: 8:00 pm
Romania 9:00 pm
London, UK: 7:00 pm
Australia: 6:00 am ( Dec 12 )
The purpose of meeting 2 will be to invite members of the group to present their ideas for a narrative theme, and we can discuss them all as a group. We might merge idea’s but hopefully we can then dot vote on a preferred direction.

The Story and Theme process will serve as the foundation of this project. It’s vital that we include as many perspectives as possible. Please attend if you can. We’ll share meeting notes and details for those who can’t make it.
