Team Leads

Last week we put out A call for Leaders and handful of people answered. We’ve loosely structured the project into five teams.

  • Story: Mel Randall kicked off the story and theme process with A call for Stories and will be leading this team. She also has valuable UX and design contributions to make.
  • Video: Paolo Villanueva is leading our Video team. He’ll help us devise a capture process, lead editing efforts, and guide the delivery pipeline.
  • App UX: Oliver Weidlich is leading the UX and design efforts, working closely with Story, Video, and App Dev.
  • App Dev: Michael Bundy is leading the App team. He’ll work closely with UX and Design members to prototype our early versions. He will also guide development of the Shared Visions app.
  • Publishing: Joseph Simpson will head up publishing, documenting the project as we go along. You can follow these updates on Step Into Vision or our social media channels.
  • Project Support: Jimmy Balladares will work with the other leads to make sure their need are met and will help guide the project along.

Many of others stepped up to take care of interviews, build 3D environments, and aid the story writing process. Thank you to everyone! We’ll have lots of work to do and plenty of opportunities to lead.

Next Steps

We concluded our A call for Stories a few days ago. We had a total of 27 submissions. Thank you to everyone to took the time to write about your Apple Vision Pro story. We’re going to spend some time reviewing these to tease out some common themes. Then we’ll schedule a couple of Story Workshops with the community. Our goal is to devise a short list of questions that we can use as prompts during interviews. Make sure you stay active in the Discord for details about these Workshops.

Once we select an our questions and a general theme we’ll be ready to start prototyping the app and environment. In the meantime, we can start working on some infrastructure to share video and assets.
