USD is the primary 3D standard on visionOS and the key to unlocking many platform features. We use USD files in our apps when building with RealityKit. But we can also deliver standalone USD files that can be viewed in QuickLook or Safari. Starting in visionOS 26, Safari can even have custom website environments built in USD. Needless to say, this is important tech. The Alliance for OpenUSD isn’t all about visionOS, but it is a great way to learn about the standard and keep up with the latest news.

Maybe someday Step Into Vision will grow into an organization that can join the Alliance for OpenUSD.
