Step Into Newsletter – October 03, 2025

Everything you want to know about Manipulation, animating particles, and community updates.

This week on Step Into Vision

We published a huge guide teach you everything you want to know about Manipulation on visionOS 26. Eye tracking + pinch to tap was the first native input paradigm on Apple Vision Pro. Manipulation feels like the second. While there are some bugs to work out, our hope is that these APIs see wide adoption across the visionOS community.

Deep Dive into Manipulation on visionOS. – Taking the next step into creating a native input system for Apple Vision Pro.

Lab 086 – Capsule Catch. – A bit of a digression to make a drop and catch mini-game.

Lab 088 – Animated Particles. – We can provide an image that contains a grid of sub-images, and use it to generate animated effects. This lab is available as a video on our YouTube channel.

Project Graveyard – Devlog 010. – Using the same concepts documented in Lab 088, Joseph added Moths to fly around the Lamp Posts in Project Graveyard. He also started working on new light settings, including colors.
