New in the Resource Library: A Vision Experiment on YouTube

Tom Krikorian is building such a fun idea for the Apple Vision Pro community. Now On Vision is a place where you can check in every day to prove you use Apple Vision Pro. It has user profiles, a leaderboard, a news feed, and more on the way. Tom has been sharing his rapid-fire progress developing this at every step of the way.

New book: OpenUSD in One Weekend. The authors of this book generously decided to release this for free. I’m adding this to my education backlog. I won’t have time for it this summer, but I’m looking forward to working through it when things slow down in September.

Step Into Office Hours continues to be the best part of the week. Last week we had around 25 developers from all over the world sharing their work and talking about building for this exciting platform.

Earlier this week I asked the community about an idea. Should we create a Developer Directory on Step Into Vision? A place for developers to have a public profile, showcase their work, and offer their services. I had hoped to get around 20 people interested, and we blew past that. We’re working on this new feature and will have more to announce in the coming weeks.

August 24th will march one year since we launched this website. As we enter the second year, we’re going to be launching several new initiatives. To tease just a few: A YouTube Channel, Developer Directory, Community Calendar for events, Discord Server for devs, and business resources. If you want to get involved, there will be lots of opportunities to collaborate with us. More on these topics coming soon!
